Overview

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Trimethylolpropane (TMP for short), white flaky crystals. Easily soluble in water, low carbon alcohol, glycerol, N,N-dimethylformamide, partially soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, slightly soluble in carbon tetrachloride, ether and chloroform. Mainly used in alkyd resins, polyurethane, unsaturated resins, polyester resins, coatings, etc. It can also be used in synthetic aviation lubricants, printing inks, etc. It can also be used as textile auxiliaries and heat stabilizers for PVC resins.

MAIN APPLICATIONS

Trimethylolpropane is an important fine chemical product, which is commonly used as a chain extender in the resin industry. With low melting point and 3 hydroxymethyl groups in its molecular structure, it can be reacted with organic acid to produce mono- or multi-ester, with aldehyde and ketone to produce aldehyde and ketone, and with diisocyanate to produce urethane, etc. It is mainly used in alkyd resins, polyvinyl chloride resins and polyvinyl chloride resins.

It is mainly used in the fields of alkyd resin, polyurethane, unsaturated resin, polyester resin, coating, etc. It can also be used in the synthesis of aviation lubricants, plasticizers, surfactants, wetting agents, explosives, printing inks, etc. It can also be used as textile auxiliaries and heat stabilizers of polyvinyl chloride resin.
