USES

1 octanol is mainly used in the production of phthalate esters and aliphatic dibasic acid esters plasticizers such as dioctyl phthalate, dioctyl azelate and dioctyl sebacate, etc., respectively, used as the main plasticizers and cold-resistant auxiliary plasticizers for plastics, defoamers, dispersing agents, ore dressing agents and petroleum filler, also used in printing and dyeing, paints, films and other aspects.

2. Mainly used in the production of plasticizers, extractants, stabilizers, used as solvents and intermediates of spices. In the field of plasticizers, octanol generally refers to 2-ethyl ethanol, which is a million tons of bulk raw materials, far more valuable than n-octanol in the industry. Octanol itself is also used as a fragrance, blending rose, lily and other floral flavors, as soap fragrances. The product is China's GB2760-86 regulations for the permitted use of edible spices. Mainly used in the preparation of coconut, pineapple, peach, chocolate and citrus flavors, used as surfactants, solvents, defoamers, industrial additives, etc.
