PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Sodium bicarbonate (Sodium bicarbonate), molecular formula NaHCO₃, is an inorganic compound, white powder or fine crystals, odorless, salty taste, easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol (a said insoluble), aqueous solution is slightly alkaline. Decompose easily by heat, decompose slowly in humid air, produce carbon dioxide, decompose at about 50℃, decompose completely when heated to 270℃ [1]. When it meets acid, it decomposes strongly and produces carbon dioxide. Sodium bicarbonate is widely used in chemical industry, medicine, food, light industry, textile and other industrial fields, as well as people's daily life, occupies an important position in the national economy.
APPLICATIONS
Medical use
Sodium bicarbonate can be used as a raw material for pharmaceuticals, for the treatment of hyperacidity and metabolic acidosis, and can also alkalize urine to prevent uric acid kidney stones. It can also reduce the nephrotoxicity of sulfonamides and prevent hemoglobin from being deposited in the renal tubules during acute hemolysis, and treat the symptoms caused by hyperacidity; Intravenous drip has non-specific therapeutic effects on the toxicity of barbiturates, salicylic acid and methanol. However, it is forbidden to be used in gastric lavage when swallowing strong acid poisoning, and when injected in large quantities, in the presence of renal insufficiency or applied for a long period of time, cardiac arrhythmia, muscle spasms, pain, abnormal fatigue, weakness, slowing down of respiration, peculiar smell in the mouth, frequent urination, urgency of urination, persistent headache, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, etc.
