Overview

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether obtained by etherification under alkaline conditions using refined pure cotton as raw material and propylene oxide and methyl chloride as etherifying agents. It is an odorless, non-toxic white or off-white powder that can be dissolved in cold water and swell into a transparent or slightly turbid colloidal viscous solution. The degree of substitution is generally 1.2-2.0. Its properties vary depending on the ratio of methoxy content to hydroxypropyl content. Main ingredients: cotton, methyl chloride, propylene oxide, and caustic soda solution.

FUNCTIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS

Water retention

Enhance water retention and improve the poor hardening and cracking caused by the rapid drying and hydration of cement and gypsum building materials.

Improve construction performance

Increase the plasticity of mortar, improve the construction performance of industrial coatings, and improve work efficiency;

Adhesion

Due to the increase in the plasticity of mortar, it can better bond with the substrate and be bonded;

Anti-slip

Due to its thickening effect, it can prevent the mortar and the bonded object from slipping during construction.
