PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Hafnium oxide has the molecular formula HfO₂ and is commonly used in spectroscopic analysis and catalyst systems, fusion resistant materials.

Hafnium oxide is an inorganic compound. Hafnium oxide has excellent chemical stability and is insoluble in water and most acids at room temperature, but can react with strong bases to form hafnium salts.

Hafnium oxide is generally considered a relatively safe compound in terms of safety. It does not readily react chemically at room temperature and is not significantly toxic to humans. When in dust form, hafnium oxide particles may cause irritation and damage to the respiratory system. When handling hafnium oxide powder, take the necessary precautions, such as wearing a mask and gloves, to avoid inhalation and contact with the dust. Be careful to store and handle hafnium oxide away from heat sources and flammable materials

APPLICATIONS

Hafnium oxide has a wide range of industrial applications. Hafnium oxide can be used to prepare products such as refractory bricks, ceramics, capacitors and catalysts. Hafnium oxide is also used as a compensating dopant and protective coating in semiconductor materials.
